Mekanische Konstruktie Baudoin
Our story began in 1926, when Pieter Baudoin founded a small repair workshop in Mol, right next to his brother’s Citroën garage. He named it aptly: ‘Mekanische Konstruktie Baudoin’ — now better known as MKB ENGINEERING.
His wartime experience made him a true expert in precision machining on planers, lathes, and milling machines. Since sourcing the right spare parts was often a challenge — especially in the Kempen region, where the industry was still developing — he began trading components as well. It was the start of what MKB would become: a manufacturing company rooted in craftsmanship, necessity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Engineering and On site assembly completed the picture
In 1990, the company moved to its current location and MKB expanded its services by adding an engineering department. Since then, clients have been able to rely on us for technical drawings and custom designs.
In 2002, MKB was acquired by Eriks, which mainly took over the trading operations, while we at MKB continued to focus on repair work, custom manufacturing, and engineering.
In 2010, MKB further expanded its services with an On-Site Assembly Service, where our technicians repair machines directly at the client’s location. This addition made our service offering complete.
